The new HP NonStop NS2000 server family extends the J-series multi-core product platform to the entry-level. This 100% NonStop offering offers complete investment protection and provides customers an affordable solution that delivers fault tolerance and high performance at the lowest cost available for a multi-core Integrity NonStop system.

The NS2000 provides the same continuously available, highly fault tolerant system and runs the same applications as other NonStop servers from S-series on up to the NonStop BladeSystem.

The NonStop NS2000 family of servers is an ideal solution for emerging markets and smaller businesses. They offer an excellent cost/benefit solution to customers migrating from
NonStop S-series servers.They also serve as an ideal QA and test system for NonStop BladeSystem customers since they run the same NonStop multi-core J-series operating system and utilize similar I/O.

NS2000 Server Family overview
The Integrity NonStop NS2000 server family of products is based on the industry-standard dual-core Intel® Itanium® Processor 9100 series technology. They support 2 or 4 logical processors per system with memory sizes of 8GB and 16GB per logical processor. Additional specifications include:
  • AC and DC powered rack-mounted servers
  • 36U and 42U commercial cabinets
  • 36U seismic cabinet
  • Up to eight processor cores
  • Double the performance of previous NonStop servers
  • Cluster I/O Modules
  • J-series NonStop multi-core OS, including traditional NonStop linear scale-out, ServerNet I/O and inter-CPU connection, scheduling/dispatching processes among multiple cores
