New releases of two key products in the HP NonStop Business Continuity software suite are now available: HP NonStop AutoSYNC v1 Update 12 and HP NonStop AutoTMF v1 Update 9.
NonStop AutoSYNC Update 12: better manageability
- Unneeded EMS messages displayed at start of the TCP/IP synchronization process by a remote monitor are now suppressed (however, if local logon in a remote sync process fails, a new EMS message will be logged)
- In the Command Interpreter, the ENV command displays SAFEGUARD PASSWORD-REQUIRED setting and the output of a one-time sync now shows all warnings to the AutoSYNC out file
- REPORT command supports destination syncfilesets and batchids with wildcard system names (\*)
- A new synchronization option adds [NO] RECOVERY for ADD/ALTER SYNCF and SYNC commands (previously, a global setting only)
- New options for synchronizing SQL objects: MAPNAMES file processing enhanced to allow SQL catalog name mapping; file recovery and RENAMEOPEN processing modified to handle complex SQL objects; redesign for SQL collations synchronization
- Better temporary file management: location for recovery files and BACKUP/RESTORE input files no longer requires the special subvolumes ZASYARCH or ZZESCASY; filename for Restore input file changed from ZBKnnnnn to ZRSnnnnn.

NonStop AutoTMF Update 9: general improvements
- Foundational support added for new procedure calls and transaction timeout capabilities planned for the next release of NonStop Transaction Management Facility
- New global parameter, SWAPKMSF, allows KMSF to manage allocation of the AutoTMF runtime swapfile
- Command Interpreter provides notification of Monitor logging and changes to MONITOR command to accept remote monitor name
- Additional NO options for ALTER ATMFF and ALTER ATMFP attributes added
- Many quality fixes

AutoTMF Update 9 is available (downloadable) upon request for systems licensed for any version of SA45V1, HSA45V1, and QSA45V1 software, at no additional charge. This update will be shipped for new AutoTMF orders on HP NonStop Servers and HP Integrity NonStop Servers and BladeSystems.
Likewise, AutoSYNC Update 12 is also available upon request for systems licensed for any version of SA46V1, HSA46V1, and QSA46V1 software, at no additional charge and will be shipped for new AutoSYNC orders on HP NonStop Servers and HP Integrity NonStop Servers and BladeSystems.
