As previously announced and beginning in September, 2001, HP’s NonStop Enteprise Division no longer distributes CA Unicenter 125 as part of the NonStop™ Kernel operating system software package. Customers can still purchase Unicenter directly from Computer Associates.

Because it was a co-requisite for CA Unicenter 125, the standalone Security Event Exit Process (SEEP) (product ID T8949) is still distributed on the site update tape (SUT). But, now that HP has discontinued sales, distribution, and support of CA Unicenter products, the SEEP product will be discontinued as well. Although the SEEP application program interfaces (APIs) were documented solely as part of Safeguard software, some customers or partners may have created code to use with the APIs without licensing Safeguard software. Therefore, there will be a six-month transition period, until March, 2003, before discontinuation of SEEP distribution. During this time, customers using the SEEP APIs are encouraged to purchase the Safeguard software product (product ID T9750).
