The HP NonStop System Console is a workstation used to manage and operate the system for basic functions such as startup, shutdown, trouble-shooting and system monitoring. HP provides two hardware platforms which operate as the Console for the HP NonStop system. One is a desktop workstation running Windows XP and the other is a rack-mounted workstation running Windows Server 2003.
When the customer purchases an HP NonStop System Console, they receive an integrated package of hardware and software. The software is pre-installed on the system and integration tested before being shipped.
The HP NonStop System Console Software can also be purchased separately – this package provides a collection of products which run in concert with each other to allow operators to manage their HP NonStop server.
