Gigabit Ethernet Support for NonStop S-series and NS-series Systems

The HP NonStop Enterprise Division announces a new set of adapters, providing high-speed Ethernet connectivity. VxSE, the versatile Ethernet enclosure, provides multiple gigabit per second, and multiple 100 megabit per second Ethernet links for NonStop S-series and certain NS-series systems. These products are designed for fault tolerance and are released in pairs. The V4SE pair provides four gigabit per second, and four 100 megabit per second Ethernet links. The V8SE pair provides eight gigabit per second, and eight 100 megabit per second Ethernet links. By offering the VxSE on S-series systems, HP reinforces protection of customer investments in existing data center systems.

The companion carrier grade products, V4SECG and V8SECG, designed for Telco applications were announced in April 2008 for the NS-series carrier grade systems (NS16000CG and NS5000CG/T).
