HP NonStop Essentials products

HP NonStop Essentials products are plug-ins to HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM) and provide various management solutions for NonStop servers.

NonStop Cluster Essentials provides an integrated management solution for homogeneous clusters of NonStop systems and heterogeneous clusters of NonStop and Linux systems. It offers solutions for integrated health monitoring, integrated alert monitoring, integrated event monitoring, single-click boot, virtualized configuration and control, unified account management, software consistency check, and integrated inventory reporting.

NonStop Performance Essentials seamlessly integrate with NonStop Cluster Essentials to provide real-time as well as trend monitoring of the clusters of NonStop and Linux systems. It also allows customers to create individual performance thresholds based on their specific environments, and have the notifications sent to them via pager or E-mail when those thresholds are met.

NonStop I/O Essentials provides an integrated management solution for managing CLIM-based I/O subsystem of NonStop systems, so that operators do not have to learn specific commands to configure and control I/O subsystem, reducing training costs and operator errors.

NonStop Software Essentials is a software installation and management tool for all NonStop systems. It uses the same DSM/SCM server as used by the DSM/SCM Planner Interface, thus preserving all of the software packages customers have created using DSM/SCM. NonStop Software Essentials provides a complete functional replacement for the DSM/SCM Planner Interface, and provides some additional functionality not available in the Planner Interface. It is more secure, easy to use, provides better auditing, and overcomes other shortcomings of DSM/SCM.

HP Insight Control for NonStop is an integrated manageability product bundle to provide health monitoring, event monitoring, inventory reporting, remote script invocation, power and thermal monitoring, power control, as well as software planning, configuration, installation, and reporting. It includes HP SIM, HP Insight Control Power Management (ICpm) and NonStop Software Essentials, and provides comparable functionality to HP Insight Control for other HP platforms.

All of these products work together to provide an HP SIM-based single pane-of-glass management environment for customers.
