H06.13 is a generally available release version update (RVU) of the HP NonStop Operating System, Mission Critical Edition, supporting HP Integrity NonStop servers, with shipments beginning on February 19, 2008.

Highlights of RVU H06.13 include the following new and enhanced functions, as well as defect repair:

  • Support of the NS14200 system which is based upon the new Intel® Itanium® processor 9100 series.  The NS14200 will be available later this month.
  • Introduction of the OSS ODBC/MX Client Driver which provides access to NonStop SQL/MX databases on NSK conforming to Microsoft ‘s ODBC 3.5 specification.
  • SQL/MX enhancements including:

DISPLAY USE command now displays modules' source file.

Modules which are invalidated after a DDL change are now displayed.

Nodes connected over Expand interoperate.  Support for multi-node database access where some nodes are at SQL/MX Release 2.3.1 and others are using Release 2.3.

    Improved memory allocation.

  • Support for a new storage subsystem option, FASTBULKWRITE, that improves throughput and concurrency for FUP DUP operations on unstructured files.  This option applies only to disks in Fibre Channel Disk Modules (FCDM) or to ESS disks.
  • Update of Native Inspect to version 5.5 of the HP Wildebeest Debugger (wdb).
  • Greater TMF control when transaction thresholds are reached.
  • Support for the Versatile Ethernet ServerNet enclosure.  The V4SE and V8SE are available with either 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports or 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports, respectively.
