France’s leading leisure travel group, Nouvelles Frontières, has successfully implemented the CONTOUR® travel management platform from Fourth Dimension Software as a desktop booking and reservations management system at more than 200 travel agencies across France.
CONTOUR, running on the HP Integrity NonStop server platform, provides Nouvelles Frontières travel agencies with powerful new booking capabilities for the tour operator’s premium package travel brand, TUI France. Travel agents can query TUI France’s real-time prices and availability, compare products and pricing for alternative dates, and search for products across a wide range of parameters, including destination, travel dates, class of service, price, activities, themes and interests, and more. CONTOUR also provides travel agents with improved up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, and enables them to adjust components on a package, make changes to bookings, and provide enhanced post-booking customer support.
Nouvelles Frontières, part of Europe’s leading tourism group TUI AG, was founded in 1967 and is the number one tour operator in France. It carried 1.6 million clients in 2006, with a turnover of 1.16 billion euros.
