ITUG Europe 2007 is proud to host the first Executive Finance Forum 2007, “Banking on the Global Electronic Society,” presented in collaboration with HP and the ifs School of Finance on October 9. The Forum is presented in conjunction with ITUG Europe 2007, to be held October 8–10 at The Brighton Centre in Brighton, England (United Kingdom). Designed for bankers and other financial practitionersThis unique forum, specifically designed for bankers and other financial practitioners, will focus on the global electronic society and its impact on European financial affairs. Not only has technology enabled London to become the leading global financial center for new business, overtaking New York in one biannual review, but the pace of European banking and securities consolidation has gained new momentum, partly driven by the great economies of scale of shared infrastructures. If Europe is to continue to grow with the rise of electronic enterprise and culture, it is important that bankers understand these broader dynamics.
In the next 10 years, we may well see the pace of change accelerate further, driven by globalization and the latest tide of technological innovation and entrepreneurial activity. The range of new technologies, described broadly as “Web 2.0,” are not only creating another generation of e-commerce millionaires, but also are changing the way old-world companies market themselves. There are plenty of opportunities, but it will take vision, agility, and leadership to grasp them. Speaker lineup of analysts, finance practitioners, and solution expertsThe Executive Finance Forum will help bankers see the big picture and understand how these forces are creating a society largely interconnected by real-time networks and automation. It will highlight the most important changes and suggest how banks could adapt their business strategies, policies, and systems.
Hear from experienced analysts, finance practitioners, and solution experts, including:
