HP announces the immediate availability of Version 3.1 of Enterprise Toolkit—NonStop Edition software (product ID HSB93V3 for Integrity NonStop server customers and SB93V2 for NonStop S-series server customers), a Microsoft® Visual Studio .NET based development environment for HP NonStop servers.
Starting with Version 3.1, the Enterprise Toolkit—NonStop Edition provides
- Compatibility with Visual Studio .NET 2005 and 2003
- Support for pre- and post-build steps
- Build logs in HTML
- Support for application development for HP Integrity NonStop servers as well as NonStop S-series servers
- Support for new Archive project type to create archive files
- Support for Nested Folder to better manage and organize project source files
- State-of-the-art support for CORBA applications development
- Support for HP NonStop SQL/MX 2.0 features, including building programs with embedded module definitions and building applications targeted for the HP Guardian environment
- New NonStop SQL/MX property fields to specify Open System Services (OSS) define files to be used during NonStop SQL/MX preprocessing and to specify OSS commands that the user wants executed on the server prior to NonStop SQL/MX compilation
- A new Define tool to create OSS defines
- Links to the user manuals and guides available online in the NonStop Technical Library (NTL)
Version 3.1 supersedes Version 3.0 as well as Version 2.0 of the Enterprise Toolkit. Integrity NonStop server customers can use the HSB93V3 product ID and NonStop S-series server customers can use the SB93V2 product ID to order Enterprise Toolkit 3.1. Current users of Enterprise Toolkit 1.x can use an upgrade credit (SB93V1U) to upgrade earlier versions of the product to Enterprise Toolkit 3.1. PC-based cross compilers that work with Versions 1.x, 2.x, and 3.x of the Enterprise Toolkit will continue to work with Enterprise Toolkit 3.1.
Note that only one version of the Enterprise Toolkit can be installed on a desktop at a time. Version 3.1 of Enterprise Toolkit is compatible with the most recent release of Visual Studio .NET—Version 2005—as well as Version 2003, but not with the earlier release—Version 2002—of the product.
