A resource for independent HP NonStop systems experts.

The Independent NonStop Consultants program is designed to identify, support, and promote independent consultants who have extensive knowledge of HP NonStop technology and solutions. The program offers centralized Web-based services to help connect consultants and customers and is part of an ongoing effort to increase the availability of NonStop system specialists worldwide. Independent NonStop Consultants help customers with technical projects of limited scope and duration. The consultants do not usually support a large infrastructure, but typically work on NonStop systems at customer sites― which means they are able to move quickly on high-priority projects while maintaining low overhead. NonStop consultants, whose backgrounds range from independent NonStop system specialists to former employees to resellers and value-added resellers, offer expertise combined with practical experience.

ITUG NonStop User Group is the largest community of HP NonStop professionals and customers. As an independent consultant, you may join the Consultant SIG and register in ITUG’s Consultant Directory. Additional services include the HP Certified Professional Program and the Developer & Solution Partner Program.

Where to look for the information you need to take advantage of HP programs

NonStop Technical Library
|
- Product documentation includes technical manuals such as programmer's guides, sample programs, reference manuals, and installation guides.
- Support documentation is restricted to customers who have a valid HP support contract. The topics are visible in the NTL.
- Documentation with a padlock icon requires an HP support contract and authentication.
- Single user, 1-year physical media subscription (SH43C-1 or SH43D-1) is available for US$150. DSPP members receive a 50 percent discount. HP Certified Professionals receive the benefit of a subscription.

Technical Update Training (TUT) program
|
- The NSU is US$500/year. DSPP members get a 50 percent discount.
- As a transition to this new program, those on the Mission Critical Consultants (MCC) list published in 2004 will be granted a special fee-waived logon for TUT content through 2005.

Education and training
|
- DSPP members receive a 20 percent discount (standard discount is 10 percent).
- For U.S.-based NonStop classes, tuition is waived through 2005. Space is available.

Access to the NonStop eServices Portal, to GCSC, to KBNS, and to ExpressNotice messages
|
Consultants working for a client who is covered by an HP software support service contract may register for access these services if they have an email address issued by that customer; for example, Consultant.J.Smith@customer.com.

To be considered for projects, please contact the closest Field Consultant Program Office with your name, address, e-mail, phone, skills, and interest.
