HP NonStop JDBC Type 4 Driver FCS announced

HP announces the first customer shipment (FCS) of HP NonStop JDBC Type 4 driver (SJ82V1) as an Independent Product on August 31, 2004.

General Availability product

• The NonStop JDBC Type 4 driver (SJ82V1) provides high performing and scalable direct connectivity between a remote java application and the HP NonStop Server hosted SQL/MX database. Enhanced features include statement and connection pooling, ability to call a stored procedure written in Java and thread safe non-blocking behavior. This driver is compliant with the JDBC 3.0 specification and will work with platforms that support JDK1.4.1 or later (for a complete list of tested platforms, please refer to product documentation).  It is tightly integrated with the SQL/MX database to offer a highly available and scalable connectivity solution for NonStop.
• This is an Independent Product and will be delivered via CD-ROM. This release provides the direct connectivity between a remote java application and the HP NonStop SQL/MX with MP tables. When SQL/MX R2.0 MX table’s package is FCS later this quarter, this driver will also provide access to SQL/MX R2.0 MX tables.
